Traffic volume studies are conducted to obtain accurate information about the number and movement of vehicles within or through an area or at selected points within an area. Current and historical volume counts provide vital information that is used in operational evaluations, traffic modeling and in the selection and design of road network improvements. The general public and the business community also use this report to make more informed decisions.
